The Mason City Police Department started working a missing persons case involving 17-year-old Dominic Garrett after he was reported missing by his family on April 4th.
On Saturday, just after 2pm, Mason City Police were called to the report of a body in the Winnebago River at East Park.
While the formal identification and autopsy are yet to be completed, the preliminary information points to this being Garrett’s remains. Notification has been made to the family.
Foul play is not suspected in Garrett’s disappearance.
The Mason City Police Department is continuing its investigation.
