Several Hampton Juveniles Charged in Connection to Recent Thefts and Break-Ins
08/21/2014 - This week the Hampton Police Department released charges against several Hampton juveniles. 17-year-old Skyler Prescott was charged with simple assault from an alleged incident this past Tuesday night (Aug. 19th) in the 500 block of 4th Street Northeast. One 13-year-old, three 12-year-olds, one 11-year-old and two 10-year-olds were each charged with 3rd degree burglary for an alleged break-in at the Church of Christ in the 20 block of 1st Street Northeast on July 4th. Six juveniles ranging in age between 10 and 13 were all charged with 3rd degree burglary for a July 22nd break-in at the same church. Five young people between 10 and 13 years old were each charged with 5th degree theft for allegedly stealing items from Klean Rite Laundry and Car Wash in the 500 block of Highway 3 west July 11th. In addition, two 10-year-olds were charged with 5th degree theft for taking a cell phone July 28th from the 600 block of 1st Street Northwest.
