Community Calender




The Community Calendar is a free service for all non-profit groups, organizations, churches, and schools.  The Community Calendar can be heard Monday-Friday at 10:30 a.m. on 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 98.9 KQCR-FM.  If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR; P.O. Box 495; Hampton, IA 50441, or fax your information to (641) 456-5655.  You can also e-mail radio@radioonthego.com.  Please have the information for your meeting or event submitted one week in advance.  Items submitted to the Community Calendar air one day before the event and the day of the event on both KLMJ and KQCR.  Additional ads may be purchased at a non-profit rate by calling our office at (641) 456-5656.

The Franklin Medical Center Clinic in Latimer will be closed Friday.  Patients can call Franklin Medical Center in Hampton at 641-456-50-62.

The Franklin County Food Pantry will be open Friday 10:00 a.m. till noon at the Community Services Building in Hampton.

The Hampton Compost and Brush Site will be open weather permitting Friday 2:00 to 6:30 p.m.

The Annual Halloween Carnival sponsored by the Cub Scouts in Greene will ber held Friday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the North Butler High School Old Gym in Greene.

The Dumont Reformed Church and New Hope United Methodist Church will be holding Trunk-or-Treat Friday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Dumont Reformed Church parking lot.

The Parker School of Terror Haunted House will be open Friday 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. located the corner of 6th Ave NE and 5th St. NE in Belmond.

The Haunted Cornfield one and a half miles east of Wellsburg will be open Friday 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. located at 16519 185th St. rural Wellsburg.

The Iowa Falls Community Theatre will present their production of "House of Frankenstein" Friday 7:00 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Friday 8:00 p.m. at the Fireside in Iowa Falls.

The Iowa Falls American Legion Auxiliary #188 will be serving breakfast Saturday 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion Building in Iowa Falls.

The Hampton Compost and Brush Site will be open weather permitting Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The United Methodist Women of Thornton will be holding a bake sale Saturday 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Thornton.

The Bristow Betterment Fall Fundraiser & Home Based Business Show will be held Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bristow Fire Station.  Soup and Cinnamon Rolls will be served.  Adults $6.00, kids (6 & under) $3.00.

The 11th Annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza in Sheffield will be held Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the West Fork High School Gym in Sheffield.

A Holiday Magic Mart will be held Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Walter Bohls' Community Center in Marble Rock.

A Ladies Day Out Homebased Business & Craft Expo will be held Saturday 9:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the Forest City Civic Auditorium and the Forest City Senior Community Center.

St. John's Lutheran Church will be holding their Scandinavian Bazaar & Bake Sale Saturday 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church located at 1207 Indigo Avenue, rural Hampton.

The Zion Reformed Church will host their "Twelve Days of Christmas" Bazaar Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the church located at 2029 Jonquil Ave, rural Sheffield.  Food will be served all day and guest are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Franklin County Food Pantry.

The Clarksville Community United Methodist Church will be holding their annual soup supper and mini bazaar Saturday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Rowan will be hosting their 15th Annual Soup Supper & Bake Sale Saturday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church located on the curve of Highway 3 & 69.

A Ham Harvest Supper sponsored by the Klemme Potpourri Club will be held Saturday 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Klemme Community Room.

The Alexander Community Corporation will be holding BINGO Saturday 6:15 p.m. at the Alexander Community Center.  Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. and concession will be available.

The Iowa Falls Senior Center will be holding an Open House Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a breakfast will be served 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Iowa Falls Fire Station.  A Free will donation will be accepted with proceeds to help the Senior Center.

The Sheffield Lions Club and West Fork Music Department will be serving a free will donation breakfast Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sheffield Inn.

The Shell Rock Fire Department will be serving their annual free will donation pancake breakfast Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Shell Rock Boyd Building.

The St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parkersburg will be serving a Turkey Dinner with all the trimming Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  For deliveries in Parkersburg, call 319-346-1411 on November 2.

The New Hartford United Methodist Church will be serving a Turkey and Ham Dinner Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the New Hartford school multi-purpose room.

The Club Cadet Childhood Center in Latimer will be serving a free will donation pork loin dinner Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Latimer Community Center.

The Aplington-Parkersburg Junior Parents meeting for After Prom will be held Sunday 1:30 p.m. at the Aplington-Parkersburg Middle School library in Aplington.

The Prairie Homestead Quilters are hosting a quilt show Sunday 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Jenison-Meacham Art Center in Belmond.
