Community Calender




The Community Calendar is a free service for all non-profit groups, organizations, churches, and schools.  The Community Calendar can be heard Monday-Friday at 10:30 a.m. on 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 98.9 KQCR-FM.  If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR; P.O. Box 495; Hampton, IA 50441, or fax your information to (641) 456-5655.  You can also e-mail radio@radioonthego.com.  Please have the information for your meeting or event submitted one week in advance.  Items submitted to the Community Calendar air one day before the event and the day of the event on both KLMJ and KQCR.  Additional ads may be purchased at a non-profit rate by calling our office at (641) 456-5656.

The second installment of property taxes are due Tuesday in order to avoid a penalty.  Payments that are mailed must be postmarked on or before March 31st.

The Sheffield United Methodist Church Women will hold their annual Sacrificial Breakfast Tuesday 9:30 a.m.  All ladies of the community are invited.

Craft Connection at the Aplington Legion Memorial Library will be held Tuesday 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The Hampton Kiwanis Club will meet Tuesday at noon at Godfather's Pizza in Hampton.

The Parkersburg Chamber of Commerce will meet Tuesday 12:30 p.m. at 3 C's Family Restaurant in Parkersburg.

The Aplington Legion Memorial Library will be holding BINGO for all ages Tuesday 1:00 p.m.

The Franklin General Hospital Diabetic Support Group will meet Tuesday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Franklin General Hospital Board Room in Hampton.  Dietitian Cortney Reimer will present the program.

A Strengthen Families Program will be held Tuesday 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rockwell United Methodist Church.

The Hampton-Dumont fifth and sixth grade youth football registration will be held Tuesday 5:30 p.m. in the Hampton-Dumont Middle School cafeteria.

St. Paul Lutheran School in Latimer will be holding Kindergarten Round-up Tuesday 6:00 p.m.

The Hampton Public Library will be holding Story Time and Toddler Time Tuesday 7:00 p.m.

A Grief Support Group will meet Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer.

A Farmers Market Organizational meeting will be held Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Extension Office in Hampton.

Old Timers Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon will meet Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Alcoholism Service Center in Hampton.

The North Iowa Concert Band will present a Spring Concert Tuesday 7:30 p.m. in the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the North Iowa Area Community College Campus in Mason City.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Tuesday 8:00 p.m. at the Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield.

Butler County Public Health will be holding a foot clinic Wednesday starting 9:00 a.m. at The Meadows Assisted Living in Shell Rock.  To schedule an appointment, call 319-267-29-34.

An Open House retirement party for Sandee Brouwer will be held Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sandee's Flower House in Hampton.  Stop in for refreshments and meet the new owner Michelle Sackville.

The Aplington Legion Memorial Library will be holding Story Time Wednesday 10:00 a.m. for preschoolers.

The Cerro Gordo County Conservation will be holding a "For Seniors Only" program Wednesday 10:00 a.m. till noon at the Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City.  The program will be followed by a catered lunch and social time.  To register, call 423-53-09.

The Hampton Rotary Club will meet Wednesday at noon at Godfather's Pizza in Hampton.

After School Science Club will meet Wednesday 1:45 to 3:35 p.m. at the Hampton-Dumont Middle School.

Campus Life Club will meet Wednesday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at the Youth for Christ Center in Hampton.

The American Legion Riders Latimer Post 658 will meet Wednesday 7:00 p.m. at the Hometown Pizza and Pub in Coulter.
