Community Calender




The Community Calendar is a free service for all non-profit groups, organizations, churches, and schools.  The Community Calendar can be heard Monday-Friday at 10:30 a.m. on 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 98.9 KQCR-FM.  If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR; P.O. Box 495; Hampton, IA 50441, or fax your information to (641) 456-5655.  You can also e-mail us by clicking here.  Please have the information for your meeting or event submitted one week in advance.  Items submitted to the Community Calendar air one day before the event and the day of the event on both KLMJ and KQCR.  Additional ads may be purchased at a non-profit rate by calling our office at (641) 456-5656.

The Franklin County Food Pantry will be open Tuesday till noon at the Community Services Building in Hampton.

The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health will be holding a flu clinic Tuesday 10:30 to 11:30 at the Rockwell Community Center and noon till 1:00 p.m. at the Thornton Townhall.

The St. James Lutheran Church in Allison will be serving their Fall Harvest Festival Lunch Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church Parish Hall in Allison.

The Hampton Kiwanis Club will meet Tuesday at noon at Godfather's Pizza in Hampton.

The Waverly Farmers Market will be open Tuesday 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the 200 block 1st Avenue SE in Waverly.

The Franklin County Farmers Market will be open Tuesday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Main Street Square, downtown Hampton.

Old Timers Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon will meet Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Alcoholism Service Center in Hampton.

The Hansen Family Hospital will be offering an AHA Pediatric First Aid Class Tuesday 6:00 p.m. and a Breatfeeding Class 7:00 p.m.  For class detail or to register, call 641-648-70-14.

A Grief Support Group will be starting at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer Tuesday 7:00 p.m.  For more information call Tamara at 505-368-25-37.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars in Belmond will meet Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Veterans Center in Belmond.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Tuesday 8:00 p.m. at the Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield.

The Iowa Specialty Hospital Auxiliary in Clarion is hosting a Uniform Sale Wednesday 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Hospital's Lower Level Conference Room in Clarion.

The Clarion Chamber Economic Development Committee will meet Wednesday 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Clarion Rock Island Depot.

The Butler County Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners will meet Wednesday 8:00 a.m. at the United States Department of Agriculture Service Center in Allison.

The Hampton Rotary Club will meet Wednesday at noon at Godfather's Pizza in Hampton.

Afterschool Science Club will meet Wednesday 1:45 p.m. at the Hampton-Dumont Middle School.

The Hampton Compost and Brush Site will be open weather permitting Wednesday 2:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Campus Life Club will meet Wednesday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at the Youth for Christ Center located at 420 4th St SE in Hampton.

The Rehabilitation Center of Hampton will host the monthly Alzheimer's Support Group Wednesday 4:00 p.m. at the Leahy Grove Independent and Assisted Living activity room in Hampton.

The Dows Farmers Market will be open Wednesday 5:00 p.m. in the shelter at the City Park in Dows.

St. Olaf Lutheran Church north of Clarion will be holding their annual Fall Bazaar Wednesday 5:00 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Wednesday 7:00 p.m. at the Fireside in Iowa Falls.
