Community Calender




The Community Calendar is a free service for all non-profit groups, organizations, churches, and schools.  The Community Calendar can be heard Monday-Friday at 10:30 a.m. on 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 98.9 KQCR-FM.  If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR; P.O. Box 495; Hampton, IA 50441, or fax your information to (641) 456-5655.  You can also e-mail radio@radioonthego.com.  Please have the information for your meeting or event submitted one week in advance.  Items submitted to the Community Calendar air one day before the event and the day of the event on both KLMJ and KQCR.  Additional ads may be purchased at a non-profit rate by calling our office at (641) 456-5656.

Rite Environmental will be sweeping all streets in Aplington Monday.  The city is asking residents to please keep cars off the street on Monday only.

The Hampton Compost and Brush Site will be open weather permitting Monday 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The City of Iowa Falls will begin flushing water mains on Monday and through the week, starting north of Rocksylvania and east of Rock Run Elementary.

LifeServe Blood Center will be holding an Iowa Falls Community Blood Drive Monday noon to 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Highway 65 South in Iowa Falls.

LifeServe Blood Center will be holding a Hampton Community Blood Drive Monday 12:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton.

The Hampton Senior Center will be holding BINGO Monday 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Center in Hampton.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) will meet Monday, weigh-in 5:00---meeting 6:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Alcoholism Service Center in Hampton.

The Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City is hosting a viewing of "River Riders." a documentary of Iowa's recreational river resources Monday 7:00 p.m. at the Nature Center.  To register, call 641-423-53-09.

The Aplington-Parkersburg Music Promoters will hold their spring meeting Monday 7:00 p.m. in the Aplington-Parkersburg Middle School in Aplington.

The Nation Alliance on Mental Illness will be holding a free Educational Program on "Autism" Monday 7:00 p.m. at the Renew Center located at 404 North Federal Avenue in Mason City.

The Dumont American Legion Auxiliary will meet Monday 7:30 p.m. at the Dumont Legion Hall.

Butler County Public Health will be holding a foot clinic Tuesday starting 9:00 a.m. at Maple Manor Assisted Living in Aplington.  To schedule an appointment, call 319-267-29-34.

The Hampton Kiwanis Club will meet Tuesday at noon at Godfather's Pizza in Hampton.

The Franklin General Hospital Diabetic Support Group will meet Tuesday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

The Ellsworth Community College Music Department's Spring Concert, "Not the Same Old Song and Dance," will be held Tuesday 7:00 p.m. in Hamilton Auditorium in Kruse Main Hall on the Ellsworth Community College Campus in Iowa Falls.  The concert is free and open to the public.

The CAL Community School Kindergarten through 5th grade Spring Concert will be held Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the CAL school in Latimer.

Old Timers Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon will meet Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Alcoholism Service Center in Hampton.

Alcoholics Anonymous will meet Tuesday 8:00 p.m. at the Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield.
