Some of the best decorations are the crafted ones. I try to create decorations every year. Years ago I made head stones from cardboard. Using acrylic and craft paint, then using a fluffy brush to add the mossy green randomly on the front. I wrote the names out in pencil first to get spacing right. Turned out it was difficult to stick them in the ground, and they started to warp when they would get wet. So my head stones have been sitting in the basement while I figured out a solution, or decided to redo them. I found some wood boards sitting in my basement and decided they were perfect to glue the cardboard to. I ended up using a ton of glue sticks but it worked! One headstone is a cheap foam one from the dollar store but it fit perfect with the other two. I sued extra cardboard to attach to the top parts that weren’t covered by the wood to help from warping.
