
The North Butler girls and boys golf teams are scheduled to host a triangular against West Fork and Rockford at Round Grove Golf and Country Club on Monday.
Head Coach Todd Thompson on competing on home course.
“You know, or read every nook and cranny, it’s a course our guys play well. I would anticipate that they will play well on Monday. The weather forecast looks fine. It doesn’t really matter if it’s windy or not, I don’t think that really bothers us.,” says Thompson. “West Fork will be a challenge for us. Rockford has some players. My thing I tell the guys is, let’s just go out and do what we do and compete to the best of your ability.”
The North Butler girls golf team finished second with a 205 at Newman Catholic triangular on Friday. Zoey Thompson led the Bearcats as she tied for second with a round of 46, just one stroke off the medalist.
The Bearcat boys golf team won their first meet of the season with a 171 at Newman Catholic triangular on Friday. Nolan Reser led the team with a runner-up score of 40.
Tee off is at 4:15 p.m. in Greene.
The North Butler girls track and field team will travel to Saint Ansgar for Saints Relays after the meet was postponed to Monday from April 1. The Bearcats last competed at Lady Bulldog Invite on Thursday with an 11th place finish in the team race. The Bearcats had four top 5 finishes including Alexis Rose was fourth in the 100m hurdles, Izzy O’Dowd was fifth in the discus, Addison Ulrich was fifth in the high jump and the shuttle hurdle relay team placed second.
The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Saint Ansgar.
