Head Coach Caleb Hovenga on strategy for early season meets.
“What do we got? What can we put into bound? We want to really get some times in and just see what events are really going to be competitive and which ones we can try to develop a little bit further. We’re trying a lot,” says Hovenga. “Looking at our lineup, I think everybody’s running almost completely different events between the two meets this week. We want to see where everybody’s at, see how well-rounded we can really be, then we can start developing all the strengths and putting together the big lineups.”
The meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
The West Fork girls and boys golf teams will take the course at a triangular hosted by fellow Top of Iowa East member North Butler on Monday. Rockford will also be in attendance. The Warhawk girls last time out finished first at a triangular hosted by Central Springs on Thursday. Brooke Rother was the medalist with a 50. The Warhawk boys last time out placed second at Central Springs triangular on Thursday. Nolan Shreckengost leads the team with a low of 42.
Tee off is at 4:15 p.m. from Round Grove Golf and Country Club in Greene.
