South Hardin girls, Iowa Falls-Alden boys take team title at IFA Golf Invitational

The Iowa Falls-Alden golf teams hosted a four-team tournament at Highland Golf Club Wednesday.

The South Hardin girls were the champions with 444 strokes. Individually, South Hardin’s Emma Topp was the medalist with 90 strokes. Iowa Falls-Alden was second with 454, led by Montana Thies placing fourth with 108. Carlisle was third with 472. Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fourth with 481, led by a third place finish by Kenzie Moorehead with 107.

The Cadets were the boys team champions with 337 strokes, well ahead of the rest of the field. Kale Kalous was the team’s leader and overall medalist with 76 strokes, including a 34 back nine. South Hardin placed second with 362. They were led by overall runner-up Owen Larson with 81 strokes. Carlisle was third with 372. Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fourth with 383, led by Charlie Showalter’s 86 for fourth place.
