The North Butler girls track and field team will compete in their first meet in a week at Cardinal Relays hosted by Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Tuesday. The Bearcats in their last meet finished fifth at Osage on April 15. Top placers at the meet included Cora Barnett in 200m (1st), Addison Ulrich in high jump (T-1st), Alexis Rose in the 100m hurdles (2nd), the shuttle hurdle relay (2nd), Laney Brinkman in 400m hurdles (3rd) and Izzy O’Dowd in discus (3rd). The meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
The boys track and field team will be at Bronco Relays hosted by Belmond-Klemme on Tuesday. The Bearcats placed seventh at Lake Mills on Thursday. The team was led by Clayton Towsley in 200m (1st), Tucker Pecha in 400m hurdles (3rd), Ezra Almelien in 3200m (3rd) and the distance medley relay (3rd). The meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
The girls and boys golf teams will both take the course at a triangular hosted by Nashua-Plainfield and against Central Springs on Tuesday. Tee off is at 4:15 p.m. at Nashua Town and Country Club.
