Butler Supervisors approve the fiscal year ’26 budget

The Butler County Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved the county’s next fiscal year budget.  The urban levy will be $6.47 per one-thousand dollars of assessed property value, the rural levy will be $10.22 per one-thousand dollars of assessed property value.

The Butler supervisors approved the county compensation board recommendations for the salaries of the elected officials.  The positions of auditor, treasurer, recorder, and each of the three supervisors will receive 5 percent pay raises, the county attorney will receive a 7 percent pay raise, and the sheriff will receive a 9 percent pay raise.

The supervisors also approved a 5 percent cost of living increase for the county’s non-elected, and non-deputy employees.
