Thursday about 9:12pm the Mason City Police Department was called out on the report of a shooting incident at East Park.
A caller reported to dispatch a fight and possible shots fired near State Street.
Officers arrived in the area and found an adult male who was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center by Mason City Fire Department paramedics for treatment.
The suspect fled the scene along with other involved parties and witnesses. One firearm was recovered during the investigation, but not all parties are cooperating with the police to assist in the investigation.
Parties involved in this incident were known to one another and this incident is part of an ongoing feud.
