The West Fork girls track and field team finished in second place out of 16 teams at Nashua-Plainfield on Thursday.
Top Three Finishers:
1st in Sprint Medley Relay, Preslee Dickman, Alyssa Wood, JoAnna Wallace, Evie Hitzhusen – 1:56.69 (New School Record)
1st in 200m, JoAnna Wallace – 27.41 (New Meet Record)
1st in 4×400, Abby Schoning, Dickman, Wallace and Hitzhusen – 4:21.75 (New Meet Record)
2nd in 400m hurdles, Evie Hitzhusen
3rd in 4×800
3rd in 100m hurdles, Abby Schoning
Their next meet is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at Forest City.
The girls golf ended its round atop the leaderboard with a 197 strokes at a quad hosted by Rockford on Thursday. The Warhawks top score was by Brooke Rother in third with a 47. They return to the course by hosting a triangular against Osage and Nashua-Plainfield on Monday.
The boys golf team was second with a 169 strokes at Rockford on Thursday. The Warhawks top round was by Jordan Demaray with a runner-up score of 39. The team returns to the course at the Algona Tournament on Saturday. Tee off is at 9:00 a.m.
The boys track and field will be at North Butler on Friday. Last time out the Warhawks placed eighth at Belmond-Klemme on Tuesday. Top finishers at Bronco invite included Rylan Dorenkamp in 400m (1st), Zander Hansen in long jump (2nd) and sprint medley relay (3rd). The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Greene.
