The following news release was posted on the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.
About 11:50am Friday, the Hardin County Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call, reporting that a male subject was in the Iowa River in Iowa Falls.
It was reported that the male had become separated from the kayak he had been in.
Public safety was immediately dispatched to the area and an extensive search was conducted by numerous agencies. Last night just before 11 o’clock, the body of a white male was recovered.
No additional information has been released.
