The Sports Beat programs from RadioOnTheGo Sports air each Saturday, presented on 104.9 KLMJ by Mort’s Water Company and on 99 The Wave by Brother’s Market.
This week’s program featured comprehensive coverage of the Drake Relays. The programs began with those who competed Thursday and Friday: Charlee Morton of Hampton-Dumont-CAL (shot put and discus), Izzy Janssen of Iowa Falls-Alden (100m hurdles), Allison Koch of Grundy Center (high jump), Grace Storjohann of Grundy Center (800), and the Grundy Center boys 4×400 group. Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls coach Nikki Donnenwerth and Grundy Center boys coach Chris Conger also appeared to discuss their participants.
The second half of the program featured the 4×100-meter relay teams that competed Saturday, including the Grundy Center boys, South Hardin girls, and the Dike-New Hartford girls and boys.
Other interviews included members of the Wright County boys soccer team after their win over Iowa Falls-Alden Thursday, interviews from Monday’s Bulldog Relays at Hampton-Dumont-CAL, and Monday’s Dike-New Hartford girls soccer win over Colfax-Mingo.
