Aplington-Parkersburg Spring Sports Update – 4-28-25

The #10 (1A) Aplington-Parkersburg girls tennis team placed fourth with 70 points at a tournament hosted by #4 (1A) Pella Saturday.

In the doubles bracket, Adria Neymeyer/Peyton Klooster were the champions, entering as the top seed and winning all three matches. Jayden Krausman/Holly Haugstad fell in the first round and in their first consolation match.

In the singles bracket, Megan Bruns went 1-1 in the front side. She then battled back to win the seventh place match. Bella Buseman went 0-2 in singles. They’ll return to action Monday by hosting Union at 4:15.

In other Monday action, the boys golf team will host 11 other teams for an 18-hole tournament. They’ll play nine holes each at Legend Trail and the ARC. It’ll start at 9:00 a.m. and run through the afternoon.

The soccer teams will take on Columbus Catholic in NICL action. The #14 (1A) girls will host at 5:00 and the #8 (2A) United will be on the road at 5:30.
