The North Butler boys track and field team will travel to Cardinal Relays at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Tuesday. It is scheduled to be the only meet of the week for the Bearcats. In their most recent competition, they placed third at home meet on Friday. At the meet, Ezra Almelien was the champion in the 1600m and 3200m, and the 4×800 relay finished runner-up. The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Garner.
The girls track and field team will be at the Lady Simons Relays hosted by Dike-New Hartford on Tuesday. The Bearcats last time out finished in seventh at Nashua-Plainfield invite on Thursday. Top performers at the meet included Alexis Rose, first in the 100m hurdles, the shuttle hurdle team in second with a new meet record time (1:14.98) and the distance medley relay team in third. The meet begins at 4:45 p.m. in Dike.
The girls and boys golf team were scheduled to take the course at a triangular hosted by Central Springs on Monday, but that meet was cancelled due to potential severe weather. The Bearcats will host a Top of Iowa quad for next meet on Thursday.
