The West Fork girls track and field team will head to Forest City for a meet on Tuesday. The Warhawks in their last meet were the runner-up at Nashua-Plainfield on Thursday. At the meet, there were three champions including the sprint medley relay with a new school record (1:56.69), JoAnna Wallace in the 200m with a new meet record (27.41) and the 4×400 with a new meet record (4:21.75). Evie Hitzhuzen was a runner-up in the 400m hurdles. The meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
The boys track and field team will be at Cardinal Relays hosted by Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Tuesday. Last time out the Warhawks finished fifth at North Butler on Friday. Top performers at the meet were the 4×800 (1st), Aaron Ihrke in the 3200m (2nd) and the 4×100 (2nd). The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Garner.
The girls and boys golf teams had their home triangulars on Monday, postponed due to the potential for severe weather. Their next meet will be at Newman Catholic in Mason City on Friday.
