Bearcat shuttle hurdle members Kamdon Boos, Jax Thorne and Jaxon Miller on runner-up finish and hunt for next P-R time.

“I thought the race went well. It was nice running in some good weather,” says Boos. “It was fun being back. I missed a week last week, but it was fun to get back going over hurdles with great weather,” says Thorne. “Happy to have Jax back. Me and Kam have been trying to hold down the fort while everyone’s been gone. This week’s really kind of showing what we’ve got potential in,” says Miller. “We’d like to be closer to the 104, 105 range, I think we should be able to do that once our fourth runner comes back,” says Boos. “We’re happy with the 106 right now with not having everybody that we usually do, but yeah, we want to go for the 104, 105 when it comes time for state,” says Thorne.

West Fork:
1st in discus, Dax Suntken
1st in high jump, Xavier Haller
2nd in 4×200
2nd in sprint medley relay

“I just walked in there hoping to chuck it. The wind carried it pretty good. It felt beautiful. So close to PR, two inches off, but it still felt great,” says Suntken. “It’s pretty cool. In practice, they’re always far ahead. They’re hard workers. They really put it in and obviously, it’s showing. It’s good to have them on the team too. Couldn’t have done it without them. My coaches use me in a lot of events, I’m in the 100, 200, and a 400, so a big variety.”

Belmond-Klemme:
2nd in high jump, Braden Dougherty
4th in 4×800
5th in 400m, Saul Duran

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows:
3rd in high jump, Chaz Lane
5th in 110m hurdles, Chaz Lane

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows will be at Roland-Story on Thursday. Belmond-Klemme and West Fork will be at Hampton-Dumont-CAL on Friday. North Butler will be at Nashua-Plainfield on Monday.
