
Monday about 2am the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department received calls of a burglary in progress at the Eiklenborg Salvage Yard south of Aplington.
By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had fled the scene, but with the help of salvage yard employees, the suspect vehicle was stopped.
61-year-old Daniel Nelson McNelly of Waterloo, and 48-year-old Anthony Charles Neuroth of Kamrar, were both arrested, and each charged with 3rd degree burglary, and for possession of burglar tools.
Neuroth was also wanted on a no bond probation violation warrant out of Hamilton County.
Both men are being held at the Grundy County Jail.
