The Hampton-Dumont-CAL soccer teams split a home doubleheader with Grand View Christian Tuesday. The girls lost 10-0 and the boys won 6-0.
In the girls game, the Thunder scored four times in the first half for a 4-0 halftime lead. The scoring pace ramped up in the second half, and the final goal was scored with 18:18 left to end the game early.
In the boys game, the Bulldogs scored within the first 13 minutes and led 1-0 at halftime. But the goals came much easier in the second half, where they scored five to put the game out of reach.
Both soccer teams will host Clear Lake Wednesday for a North Central Conference doubleheader. The girls game will start at 5:00, followed by the boys game.
The girls tennis team fell 9-0 at home to St. Edmond. Their next meet will be Friday when they host Aplington-Parkersburg.
The boys tennis team defeated St. Edmond 8-1 on the road. They’ll return to action Thursday at Aplington-Parkersburg.
