
Just over half of Iowa is now listed as having no drought conditions from the latest U-S Drought Monitor Report. The report is for the week ending Tuesday morning.
Last week about 28 percent of Iowa had no drought conditions listed.
The coverage area for the abnormally dry category went from 58-point-67 percent last week, to 43-point-29 percent this week.
The coverage area for the moderate drought category is now down to 6-point-63 percent.
Abnormally dry conditions are reported in eastern portions of Cerro Gordo, Butler, and Grundy Counties, while the rest of the broadcast area has no drought conditions listed.
