Today is the 110th day of the 2025 Iowa Legislative Session, which means it is the last scheduled day of the session.

Once lawmakers get past the scheduled 110th day, there is no more per diem for members, and the legislative clerks and pages are done for the year.

Negotiations continue on differences in the budget plans put forth by Republicans in the Iowa House and Senate, and a dozen senators will not vote on budget bills until they get a chance to vote on a bill limiting carbon pipeline developers ability to seize land from unwilling property owners.

Two of those senators are Dennis Guth of Klemme and Sandy Salmon of Janesville.
