The North Butler girls golf team carded 201 strokes to finish in first place at home quad at Round Grove Golf and Country Club ahead of second place Osage with a 214 on Thursday. Zoey Thompson was the medalist with a round of 42 and Hannah Nichols finished in third with a 51.
The boys golf team had 165 strokes to finish in second place at home quad just behind first place Osage with a 145 on Thursday. Nolan Reser was the co-runner-up with a 34 for the Bearcats top round.
Both teams will return to the course to host a Top of Iowa Conference triangular on Monday.
The girls track and field team is set to host nine area teams for an invite on Friday. The Bearcats in their last meet placed 12th at Dike New Hartford on Tuesday. Top finishers at the meet included Alexis Rose in the 100m hurdles (4th) and Izzy O’Dowd in the discus (4th). The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. in Greene.
