Warhawk Senior JoAnna Wallace on breaking the 200m school record in back-to-back meets and cheering on her teammates.
“It was cold but the wind behind me was helping me a little bit. That was a good advantage that I had. I think it’s pretty cool because I never really ran it before. Now that I do, it’s pretty cool to have that by myself,” says Wallace. “I want to hit a low 26, maybe even better if possible, but for sure low 26. I just make sure that when I’m not racing, I’m keeping myself warm and cheering on my teammates. Running around watching them from all different spots on the track helps me stay warmed up. Then I can warm up and be ready for my races whenever I need to.”
The boys track and field team placed seventh out of 10 teams at Jim Basye Coed Relays on Friday.
