South Hardin Spring Sports Update 5-3-25

The South Hardin boys track and field team won their home Clary Invite with 159 points on Friday. It was the third meet win of the season for the Tigers.

The girls track and field team placed seventh out of 14 teams at Jim Basye Coed Relays in Hampton on Friday.

The boys will be at Denver Coed Cyclone Relays on Monday. The girls will be at Cadet Relays hosted by Iowa Falls-Alden on Monday. 

The girls tennis team held on for a 5-4 win over rival Iowa Falls-Alden on Friday. The Tigers earned wins from Abby Teske at #1 Singles, Payton Weig at #3 Singles, Lacey Coffman at #4 Singles, Adeline Cook at #6 Singles and the doubles team of Weig/Cook to come out on top. The Tigers return to court on Monday for the NICL Girls Tennis Tournament at Byrnes park in Waterloo. First serve is at 8 a.m.

The girls golf team finished with 440 strokes at an 18 hole dual meet at Sumner-Fredricksburg. The Cougars finished in first with 362 strokes. The Tigers top round was by Emma Topp with a 97. They return to the course Monday to take part in BCLUW’s 18 hole Comet Invite.
