Hampton-Dumont-CAL Spring Sports Update – 5-6-25

Six Hampton-Dumont-CAL spring sports teams were in action Monday.

The boys golf team fell 150-187 at Humboldt. Their next meet will be Thursday at Webster City.

The girls golf team fell to Humboldt 241-255. Kenzie Moorehead was the medalist with 53 strokes. Their next meet is the North Central Conference Tournament on Monday, May 12.

The boys track & field team placed fifth at the Don Hoppel Coed Relays at Garner Hayfield Ventura. Medalists:
Colin Bird – 1st in 400 hurdles
Aaden Keehn – 2nd in 110 hurdles
Beau Morton – 2nd in discus
4×100 – 2nd
4×200 – 3rd
Shuttle hurdle relay – 3rd
Beau Morton – 3rd in shot put
Mathew Hartkopp – 3rd in long jump

The girls placed fourth with 71 points. Medalists:
MacKenzy Valley – 1st in 3000
Charlee Morton – 1st in discus
Charlee Morton – 1st in shot put
Lily Hambly – 2nd in 400 hurdles
Lily Hambly – 2nd in high jump
They’ll return to action at Thursday’s conference meets.

The soccer teams both fell at home to Webster City. The boys lost 6-0 and the girls lost 5-0. They’ll be back in action Thursday against Humboldt, with the boys at home and the girls on the road.
