Clear Lake hires a new city administrator

The City of Clear Lake says Steven Diers has officially accepted the offer to become the next city administrator for the community.

The Clear Lake City Council will consider the appointment at its next business meeting set for May 19th.

Diers currently serves as the city administrator in Charles City.

If approved, Diers would begin his role as city administrator in Clear Lake on July 7th.

The other two finalists for the position of city administrator in Clear Lake were Hampton City Manager Ron Dunt, and acting Clear Lake City Administrator Jacob Widman.
