Friday just after 5pm the Wright County Consolidated Dispatch Center took a call of a boater in distress along the Iowa River in the Belmond area.
The report indicated a boat was taking on water, and the two occupants of the boat were unable to get back to shore.
Senior Patrolman Chris Jones with the Clarion Police Department, assisted in this rescue effort, along with others who are members of the Wright County Search and Rescue team.
The boat was a Jon boat, and the two individuals on board were rescued. No injuries were reported.
