Belmond-Klemme Spring Sports Update 5-12-25

The Wright County girls soccer team (1-7-3) will look to end a two game slide as they make a trip to Charles City (4-5-1) on Monday to conclude season series. The first meeting ended in a scoreless tie on April 17 in Belmond. In that match, the defenses reigned by limiting offensive chances to single digits, with six shots on goal by the Comets and seven by Wright County. Jany Morales Mejia leads Wright County with three goals. Neveah Bloker leads Charles City with 10 goals. Action begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Belmond-Klemme girl golf team will host the Top of Iowa Conference West meet at Belmond Country Club on Monday. Taylor McVey leads the Broncos with a nine hole low of 45 followed by teammate Adasyn Lamb with a nine hole low of 47. Tee off is at 10:00 a.m. in Belmond. 

The boys golf team will take the course at the Top of Iowa Conference West meet at Spring Valley Golf Course. Brody Heifner leads the team with an 18 hole low score of 82 followed by teammate Kysen Lamb with a low score of 83. Tee off is at 10:00 a.m. in Livermore.
