Today, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved a Community Health Agreement.
The agreement has been worked on for some time and is between the county, the Franklin County Board of Health, and Franklin General Hospital.
The agreement calls for FGH to take over Public Health and Home Care operations.
The Community Health Agreement must still be considered by the county board of health and the hospital board of trustees.
If approved by all those involved, the agreement will be formally signed on June 2nd, and will kick in on September 1st.
