Several Hampton-Dumont-CAL spring sports teams will be in action Monday.
Along with girls tennis individual state qualifying, the girls golf team will join the rest of the league schools for the North Central Conference Girls Golf Tournament at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course near Fort Dodge. The boys golf team will take part in the conference tournament at Legacy Golf Course in Mason City. The 18-hole tournaments will start at 10:00 a.m. and run throughout the afternoon.
The soccer teams will play their regular season finales when they host Garner Hayfield Ventura for a North Central Conference doubleheader, which’ll air on 104.9 KLMJ. In search of their first win, the Bulldog girls will need a big effort against a team that has defeated them three straight times by 10-0 scores.
The boys went 1-0-1 at a tournament at Waverly-Shell Rock Saturday, where they beat Iowa Falls-Alden 5-0 and tied Decorah 0-0. The Bulldogs defeated the Cardinals 3-1 when they met in Garner on April 17.
The girls game will start at 5:30, followed by the boys game.
