
The Grundy Center girls golf team was the runner-up at Monday’s NICL Girls Golf Tournament at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course with 362 strokes, behind Oelwein’s 355.
Avery Knutsen led the Spartans with 84 strokes to place fourth. Teammate Leah Larson placed eighth with 91 strokes, and Kahlynn Draper was 10th with 92, rounding out the Spartans who finished in the top 10.
DNH/AP placed sixth with 413 strokes, led by a sixth place finish by Keely Kauten with 87 strokes.
AGWSR placed seventh with 427 strokes, led by Aniya Vogel’s 95 to place 15th.
South Hardin placed eighth with 439 strokes. They were led by a 29th place finish by Emma Topp with 105 strokes.
