The IHSAA state qualifying singles and doubles tennis meets will take place Wednesday.
Class 1A District at Columbus Catholic, Waterloo: Hampton-Dumont-CAL
Class 1A District at Decorah: Aplington-Parkersburg, Grundy Center
Class 1A District at Pella: Iowa Falls-Alden
AP coach Dave Price says the team has shown continuous improvement, and looks forward to some possible conference meet rematches.
“That’s when we want to peak, and I think we are doing that,” Price says. “I think everybody’s getting better. And we’ve got some decisions to make on singles and doubles. And some of the teams that were at the conference meet, we’re going to be facing them again. And they’ll be better and we know we’ll be better as well. So I’m looking forward to it.”
The top two finishers in singles and doubles will advance to the state tournament. Individuals may participate in either singles or doubles. Seeding meetings will start at 8:00 a.m., followed by the first matches.
