West Fork Seniors Xavier Haller, Karma McMorris and Fernanda Ramirez announced their commitments to continue their education and athletic careers at the collegiate level on social media this week.
Haller announced his commitment to play basketball at Grand View University in Des Moines. Haller played three seasons for the Warhawks. As a senior he was an everyday starter and was also recognized as a Top of Iowa East first team all-conference honoree. He was the team’s leading rebounder with 7.6 boards per game and the second leading scorer with 13 points per game.
McMorris announced her commitment to play soccer at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. McMorris during high school played for Mason City. In three seasons with the Riverhawks, she scored 99 goals and had 31 assists. She additionally played club soccer throughout her high school career.
Ramirez announced her commitment to wrestle at NIACC. She competed for the Warhawks for all three seasons since the sport was officially sanctioned. She went 34-7 in her senior season, was a Class 1A regional champion and first time state qualifier.
