Franklin County Career Center from NIACC moving forward

The NIACC Board of Directors Thursday in Mason City set May 29th as the date for a public hearing concerning the Franklin County Career Center that will be constructed on the west side of Hampton.

Bids for the construction work will be opened May 27th, and a contract could be awarded at the May 29th meeting.

In other business, the NIACC board approved a contract for remodeling of the Health Sciences Offices at McAllister Hall to Kingland Construction of Forest City for $1,930,500.

The board also approved a contract for a roof replacement project for the Murphy Technology Center/Buettner Careers Building to Midwest Roofing for $235,477.
