Business meeting held by the Franklin Supervisors

Today Franklin County Auditor Katy Flint told the Franklin County Board of Supervisors that she came across a boards and commissions membership policy that was passed over four years ago, but it was never adopted into the county policy manual.

“I happened to run across it literally in a file, like an actual physical file, and then I went, oh, this policy that had been passed said that if there’s a vacancy on any of the boards and a member of the board of supervisors reaches out to the person directly to fill the vacancy, no application is required. The question is, are there any changes you wanna make or do you wanna adopt it into the policy manual as is? And I think it’s good because that helps get the contact information for me, but it obviously, that there’s other ways we can go about doing that.”

The Franklin supervisors made some suggestions to Flint, who will bring back an updated policy for the board to consider in the future.

In other business, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors today appointed Ruth Tapp to the county board of health.
