Two manufacturing companies in Cerro Gordo County are closing.
Forte Openings Solutions, formerly known as Masonite, is closing their two buildings of operation in Mason City. A total of 93 employees will be impacted by the closings.
The plants manufactured interior and exterior doors for various uses.
The layoffs are effective June 30th.
Michael’s Cookies is closing their Clear Lake manufacturing facility, which will impact 29 employees, with the layoffs effective Friday.
And about 200 hourly employees at Forest City based Winnebago Industries will be laid off next month, by June 13th.
