Monday evening the Grundy Center City Council passed on the first reading an ordinance amendment to increase the water rates by 2 percent, and passed on the first reading an ordinance amendment to increase the sewer rates by 2 percent.
In other business, the Grundy Center council passed on the first reading an ordinance amendment, to add no parking along the north side of 235th Street along the Sports Complex.
The Grundy Center City Council also approved the wages for the Aquatic Center and Sports Complex employees for the 2025 summer season.
