
The latest Iowa Crop Report from the USDA shows that as of Sunday, corn planted reached 91 percent complete, 12 days ahead of last year and 4 days ahead of the 5-year average.
58 percent of the corn had emerged, 5 days ahead of last year’s pace and 3 days ahead of normal.
84 percent of the expected soybean crop has been planted just over 2 weeks ahead of last year and 1 week ahead of the 5-year average.
Soybeans emerged reached 42 percent, 8 days ahead of last year and 6 days ahead of normal.
