Wednesday at 8:40pm the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of 150th Street and Jonquil Avenue on the northwest side of Swaledale.
A 2023 Buick Encore driven by 63-year-old Joyce Anderson of Swaledale was traveling eastbound on 150th Street when she collided with a deer that was in the roadway. This resulted in significant front end damage to the vehicle and the airbags being deployed.
Anderson was treated on the scene for minor injuries from her seatbelt and airbags.
Assisting agencies were Swaledale EMS and Rockwell EMS.
