Thursday at 11:16pm the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department received the report of a single vehicle accident near the intersection of 130th Street and Eagle Avenue, or just northwest of Thornton.
A 2019 Subaru Forester driven by 29-year-old Megan Frandsen of Des Moines was traveling southbound on Eagle Avenue when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.
This caused the vehicle to lose control and enter the westbound ditch, resulting in a rollover and an airbag deployment. The vehicle suffered significant damage from the rollover.
Frandsen declined medical treatment at the scene and suffered minor injuries.
