
A 59-year-old Garner man arrested April 30th on a charge of 2nd degree kidnapping has filed a written not guilty plea in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
Blair Greiman is alleged to have attempted to kidnap a female in the parking lot of the Mason City Aldi’s store on the west side of the city by wearing a disguise and displaying a weapon, however, the female was able to get away. He was arrested a short time later.
In 1981, a 16-year-old Greiman attacked an 18-year-old woman in the Mason City K-Mart parking lot, and was sentenced to life in prison on several charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping. He was granted parole in September of 2017.
Greiman remains held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a 250-thousand dollar cash only bond. His jury trial has been set for August 26th at 1:30pm.
