Tuesday evening, the Sheffield City Council held a special meeting and hired three more lifeguards for the upcoming swimming pool season, along with setting their wages at $12 an hour.
There are now 14 lifeguards hired to work at the Sheffield pool this summer.
In other business, the Sheffield City Council tabled action on whether or not to offer swim lessons. That topic will be revisited at the next regular council meeting set for June 9th.
