The NIACC Board of Directors Thursday held a special meeting and approved a bid from and awarded a contract to Henkel Construction Company of Mason City to build the new Franklin County Career Center on the west side of Hampton.
The base bid was for 3-point-87-million dollars, with an alternate bid of 220-thousand dollars.
A total of 9 bids were received for the project.
