Monday night, Ella Buttjer, the daughter of Matt and Angela Buttjer, was crowned as Miss Aplington during the Aplington Days celebration.
Other awards from Monday night included Little Miss Aplington to Blakey Johnson, Little Mr. Aplington to Gentry Nolte, and the Citizen of the Year award was presented to the Aplington Fire Department and Aplington Ambulance crews.
Aplington Days continue this evening, including the Grand Parade at 6:30pm.
