Several long-term care providers in Iowa have earned the 2025 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, placing Iowa second in the nation for the number of 2025 Bronze-level recipients.

The Bronze Award is the first of three levels in AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program, which recognizes long-term and post-acute care organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to quality improvement and person-centered care. This year, 653 providers in 46 states received the Bronze designation.

Iowa’s 2025 recipients locally include:

  • Maple Manor Village, Aplington
  • Scenic Living Communities, Iowa Falls

The National Quality Award Program is based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework. It supports providers through three progressive levels: Bronze – Commitment to Quality, Silver – Achievement in Quality and Gold – Excellence in Quality. Bronze-level applicants must demonstrate a clear organizational mission, core values and a performance improvement system. All applications are reviewed by a panel of trained examiners. Recipients of this year’s Silver Award will be announced at the end of June, and the Gold Award recipients in August.
