Dike-New Hartford’s Costello records perfect game Friday

Dike-New Hartford senior Carson Costello pitched a perfect game in Friday’s 13-0, five-inning win at Hudson. He recorded 11 strikeouts while holding the Pirates off the bases in just 63 pitches. It was the program’s first perfect game.

Conner Dancer was 4-4 and Gavin Gerbracht had four RBIs in the victory, which was Game 1 of a doubleheader.

In Game 2, the Wolverines won 10-2, and gave up just one hit between two pitchers. Colin Meester led with four hits and two RBIs.

The Wolverines (6-0) will be at Grundy Center Monday at 7:00.
