Today, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved a motion concerning holiday pay in regards to Labor Day for those employees who work for the public health and home care departments, as the transition for those departments to come under Franklin General Hospital begins September 1st.
This is Franklin County Auditor Katy Flint.
“The motion would be to approve front loading all qualified public health and home care employees transitioning from Franklin County, that’s the other key, to Franklin General Hospital. One paid holiday to be used for Labor Day 2025, September 1st.”
In other business, the Franklin supervisors approved a courthouse roof and tuckpointing design partnership agreement with the Bergland & Cram Architecture Firm in Mason City.
“Did a complete walk around of both the tuck pointing and the roof replacement. We actually got up on the roof on the flat part and looked at different tuck pointing situations. They will be two different projects because the roof needs to happen soon. But tuck pointing due to scheduling probably will not happen until next year.”
The roof of the courthouse has received hail and wind damage.
