Saturday around 6pm, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department was called out on the report of a burglary in progress in the 20-thousand block of 220th Street, southeast of Mason City. As deputies were approaching the address, the suspect vehicle, a 2013 Chevy Silverado K150 fled the scene. Deputies located the vehicle traveling eastbound on 220th Street, and a pursuit was initiated on the vehicle, reaching speeds above 90 miles per hour. The vehicle continued to evade law enforcement but was unable to maintain control around a turn at 250th Street and Spruce Avenue. The vehicle entered the west side ditch and rolled onto its top.
The driver, 39-year-old Jamie Lee Paulsen, and two other occupants, 29-year-old Brooklynn Autumn O’Dell, and 29-year-old Justice Michael Jefferey Pritchard, all from Mason City, were treated at the scene by EMS. All the occupants of the vehicle were each charged with 2nd degree burglary and 2nd degree theft. A 4th suspect who fled the scene of the crash was not located. All three remain in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
