The Iowa Falls-Alden baseball team will battle for their first win over AGWSR since 2022, when the programs meet on Tuesday. The game will air on 99 The Wave.
Iowa Falls-Alden (4-7) fell 13-3 in six innings and 5-4 in a NCC doubleheader at Humboldt on Monday. Raine Pitre entering the week led the team at the plate with a .379 batting average and 10 RBI’s. Pitre on the hill has 1.08 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 13 innings.
AGWSR (5-5) split an NICL doubleheader at Gladbrook-Reinbeck, falling in game one 2-0 and winning game two 6-3. Tristen Dennis entering the week led the team at the plate with a .478 batting average and seven RBI’s. Easton Kerns leads the staff on the mound with a 1.91 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
Both teams will look to continue progress in run production, each averaging four runs per game.
Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by the first pitch at 7:00 p.m. in Iowa Falls.
The softball teams will each look to get back on track and bounce back from losses. The Cadets fell 5-3 at Humboldt Monday, and the Cougars are coming off Friday’s 9-1 loss at North Butler. It’ll start at 7:00 p.m.
