Thunderstorms will develop along a front across north Iowa later today into this evening.  Some of the storms could be strong to severe.

Wind and hail will be the main threats with any severe thunderstorms.  Heavy rain may also cause localized flooding concerns, especially if several rounds of storms affect the same areas.

The broadcast area is under a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms today, with the highest threat expected between 4-10pm.

In addition, the local area is under a marginal risk for excessive rainfall through tonight.  What this means is that isolated flash flooding is possible.

Should you encounter flooding, turn around, don’t drown.
